Traveling by plane

It’s a small, stress-free airport served by major carriers like Alaska, American, United, and Southwest, with direct flights from hubs including LAX, SFO, DEN, PHX, SEA, and DFW.

Alternatively, guests can fly into LAX or Hollywood Burbank Airport and drive or take the train to Santa Barbara.

Santa Barbara Courthouse Website

If you'd prefer not to rent a car, we recommend staying in Santa Barbara—you'll be close to the courthouse, and the post-ceremony shuttle will carry you through the mountains to Ojai, where you'll have a few golden hours to explore before the reception begins.

Just steps from The Dutchess, downtown Ojai is full of charm and magic waiting to be discovered. Here are a few of our favorite stops for your mini-adventure:

  • Ojai Rotie: The perfect spot for a light, flavorful lunch—grab a rotisserie chicken plate or a seasonal salad and enjoy the sunny patio.

  • Rory's Other Place: Sister to Rory’s Place, this is your go-to for a cozy coffee, sweet treat, or a quiet moment before the festivities.

  • Ojai Tortilla House: A hidden gem for tacos made with fresh, handmade tortillas—quick, delicious, and beloved by locals.

  • Majestic Oak Vineyard: For a relaxed afternoon wine tasting under the oaks, this intimate vineyard is just a few blocks away and well worth the stop.

  • Bart’s Books: An open-air book lover’s paradise (and one of our all-time favorite places), only a 10-minute walk away.

  • The Arcade Plaza: Wander through this historic corridor and browse modern boutiques, vintage finds, and handcrafted goods.

Staying in Ojai is also a lovely option—but please plan to arrive at the Courthouse at noon by leaving no later than 10:50am.

*If you will be Ubering back to Santa Barbara after the reception we recommend that you reserve a ride in advance if you need a guaranteed pickup time.
